| Human Resources Sub-Committee
Mission:
|
| To provide leadership and initiative in support of the Project
Cornerstones goal of developing an integrated Human Resources plan
to ensure a stable labour force for the construction industry. Key
action items include ongoing assessment of current and future labour
needs, establishment of engagement strategies that focus on youth,
aboriginal people, women and persons with disabilities.

| Human Resources Sub-Committee
Make-up: |
Employees of member firms of the Saskatchewan Construction
Association. The Human Resources Sub-Committee is made up of a
- Chair: elected by the members of the HR
Sub-Committee.
- Vice Chair: elected by the members of the HR
Sub-Committee.
- Recording Secretary: elected by the members
of the HR Sub-Committee or appointed by SCA.
- SCA Board of Directors Chair, SCA Advisory Council
Chair, and SCA President are ex officio
members of the HR Sub-Committee.*
- SCA Human Resource Co-ordinator serves ex officio in a
resource capacity to the HR Sub-Committee.*

| Human Resources Sub-Committee Member
Term of Office: |
| Members of the HR Sub-Committee serve for two years from the
date of the first AGM on or after which they become a member of the
HR Sub-Committee. Ex Officio members serve as per their term of
office or employment in the organization that they represent on the
HR Sub-Committee. |

| Human Resources Sub-Committee
Mandate: |
The Human Resources Sub-Committee is responsible to
- Ensure the best interests of the SCA members are upheld
- Report to the SCA Board of Directors.
- Provide a focus within SCA for examination and discussion of
HR issues, labour force development, skills training and
apprenticeship challenges.
- Make recommendations to the SCA Board of Directors regarding
specific program plans and timeframes for the development and
implementation of the HR Cornerstone strategy.
- Provide direction for the development of work plans by SCA
staff, and to bring specific program and project initiatives
forward for review and approval by the SCA Board of Directors.
- Provide direction for the development of initiatives to work
with other key partners with shared interests in development of
the province's skilled trades construction work force, including
the Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission, SIAST,
Regional Colleges, Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies,
Saskatchewan Learning, and other organizations.
- Work with other SCA Sub-Committees on issues and initiatives
related to Human Resources for the SCA.
