A. COMMUNITY BUILDER AWARD

  • This award recognizes the role that a member of SCA has played in their community?  Development.
  • This award recognizes the member firm for their participation or initiative with community organizations, charities, sports organizations, etc., within their particular community.
Success will be evaluated on the basis of:
-          Demonstrated improvements over time.
-          Impact on the community
-          Community quality enhancement through the initiative
 
 
B. INDUSTRY BUILDER AWARD
  • This award recognizes the role that a member of SCA has played in the development of the Saskatchewan Construction Industry.
  • This award recognizes the efforts of the member firm in advancing the industry through the development of, or involvement in educational programs, workforce development initiatives, industry sector development initiatives or public advocacy work.
Success will be evaluated on the basis of:
-          Demonstrated improvements over time
-          Impact on the specific area of application
-          Overall impact on enhanced quality of services rendered to clients
-          Overall impact on the industry
 
 
C. INNOVATION IN ACTION AWARD
  • This award recognizes the role of an SCA member in the application of innovation
  • This award recognizes innovations that have proven to be significant advances; that have had positive, important effects in all areas of the construction industry including innovations in the construction process, in materials development, detailing, fabrication, equipment, procurement, contract administration, management, labour relations, environmental management, training and safety.
Success will be evaluated on the basis of:
-          Demonstrated improvements over time
-          Impact on the specific area of application
-          Overall impact on enhanced quality of services rendered to clients
-          Overall impact on the industry
 
 
 D. SCA Person of the Year Award
 
  • This award recognizes an individual of a current member company who significantly contributed to the growth and stature of construction industry in Saskatchewan.
  • This award recognizes outstanding Leadership, Commitment, and Excellence to the Saskatchewan Construction Association and the construction industry in Saskatchewan.
Success will be evaluated on the basis of:
-          Demonstrated high ethical morals
-          Recognized as a professional respected by clients, colleagues, competitors and partners
-          Record of success
-          Demonstrated growth through continuous improvement, innovation and added value
-          Demonstrated participation in the development of the construction industry through active participation in membership of the construction association(s)
 
 
e.  the project of the year (under $5Million)
  • This award recognizes a project completed by a member company or by member companies that is considered small (valued at equal to or less than $5,000,000.00 in the province of Saskatchewan).
  • This award recognizes a member company or member companies for their demonstration of executing and completing a small project in an exemplary way.
Success will be evaluated on the basis of:
-          Demonstrated excellence in project management skills Acceptable perception in the community and regarding the environment
-          Demonstrated excellence and innovation in use of technology
-          Demonstrated excellence in service delivery to customers/clients (including acceptable project schedule and delivery)
-          Overall impact on the industry
 
 
 f.  the project of the year (over $5million)
  • This award recognizes a project completed by member companies that is considered large (valued at more than $5,000,000.00 in the province of Saskatchewan).
  • This award recognizes the member companies for their demonstration of executing and completing a large project in an exemplary way.
Success will be evaluated on the basis of:
-          Demonstrated excellence in project management skills
-          Acceptable perception in the community and regarding the environment
-          Demonstrated excellence and innovation in use of technology
-          Demonstrated excellence in service delivery to customers/clients (including acceptable project schedule and delivery)
-          Overall impact on the industry
 
 
G.     Honourary Life Members
 
  • Any individual person who has been actively associated with the Association as President, Director, or Committee member, or member, whose efforts on behalf of the Association have enhanced the affairs of the Association in its formation, growth and development, while keeping in focus the objects and goals of the Association as well as the responsibility the Association has to its members, the industry and to the community may be granted Honorary Life Membership.
