Requirements

 
All firms that provide construction related services may enter the SCA Industry Awards Program. A current Saskatchewan Construction Association Membership is mandatory.
 
 

 The Focus

SCA Industry Awards focus on and recognize:
  • Innovation, cutting-edge programs and practices
  • Best practices, management programs, or demonstrated Advocacy aimed at addressing recurring issues in the outlined categories
In evaluating the awards, the judges will look for:
  • Excellence in the execution and implementation of the initiative
  • Creativity in the development and implementation of the initiative
  • At the sole discretion of the executive committee, more information may be requested prior to evaluating a submittal
 

Submission Requirements

  • Firms may submit one entry per category
  • Must be relevant, within the past three years
  • Three copies of each entry must be submitted and each of the three copies must be appropriately bound
In an effort to limit the time and effort required to prepare a submission for this program, the following items must be included:
  • A completed and signed application form
  • An executive summary of your program or initiative summarizing its objectives, methodology, solution, planning, implementation, and results; Limit: 750 words.
  • A detailed description of the specific program or event occurring within the past three years for which you believe your firm should be recognized and must include the following information:
    • Objective
    • Methodology and solution
    • Planning and implementation - Include documentation on how the
    • program or initiative was planned and executed, who was involved, timeliness, and internal/external communications
    • Effectiveness of the program and its results
      Limit: Not more than three typewritten pages with a minimum of 1.5 line spacing
  • A description of your firm including markets served, number of employees, and names of principals. Limit: 100 words
  • A copy of your firm's brochure if available to assist in better understanding your firm's organization and professional services
  • Resumes of key individuals involved
It is expressly understood that, when applying for these awards, all materials submitted become the property of SCA. All entries will be displayed at the Summer  Meeting and otherwise publicized. Consistent with SCA's purpose, the synopsis of the awarded programs may be disseminated to SCA members at the discretion of the SCA as a benefit membership.
 

 Deadline

All materials must be received in the SCA office by close of business on March 15, 2010
 
All award recipients will be notified in sufficient time so that representatives of their firms can be present at the Awards Presentation at the Summer Meeting
