Recognizes innovations that have proven to be significant advances, that have had positive, important effects in all areas of the construction industry including innovations in the construction process, in materials development, detailing, fabrication, equipment, procurement, contract administration, management, labour relations, environmental management, training and safety.

Criteria for evaluation is straightforward. The initiative or activity entered must have been implemented and shown to be producing results within the last 3 years. Success will be evaluated on the basis of:
